SponsoredΒ Swim

Every year, the club holds a sponsored swim. This not only gives us a chance to raise money for the club and a local charity, but just as importantly it allows the swimmers to achieve something they can be proud of. They are always amazed at how far they can swim, as are the people who sponsor them.

All swimmers will receive a certificate and badge for the distance they have managed to cover. The coaches will be on hand to ensure everyone has a fun time and achieves their potential.

The money we raise will go towards a charity of the club’s choice. Β This year’s charity, chosen by our members, is East Lothian Young Carers.

You're an inspiring sportswoman Claire Hunter 🧜‍♀️

Sport should be part of everyone's lives if possible. Love this club. 🐬🐬🐬🐬

We hope you have all had a good mid term break. We are looking forward to seeing you all back in the pool this week.

Despite it being a inset day tomorrow we will be running our Monday sessions.

Please remember that we are still working to keep everyone safe and that all restrictions are still in place.

Please remember that anyone over 12 must wear a face covering when entering and exiting the pool building and whilst on landside.
This is a necessary precaution for the health of other swimmers and our volunteers so we can't admit anyone without one. It's very disruptive for the coaching staff to have to phone parents/guardians and ask them to collect their child.

Please come pool ready and bring a towel, swim cap, goggles, water bottle and wear a mask if required.

Please check your inbox as you have been sent a information email.

Dunbar Christmas LightsAn exciting opportunity for someone in our community!!!

Vote for your “Covid-19 Local Hero”

Dunbar Christmas Lights are sadly unable to have the spectacular annual switch-on event this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
BUT we are planning a virtual switch-on, which we will bring to you on YouTube via live stream!

We cannot invite the public to the High St. However, we would like to ask you to nominate your Local Hero to join our schools competition, ‘Design-a-light’ winner, to switch on the High St. lights and to do the countdown for the Community Lights switch-on. Social distance measures will be in place. So,
🀩 Who is your local hero?
🀩 Who has gone the extra mile?
🀩 Who deserves to be recognised?

Post your nomination under this post on the Dunbar Christmas Lights FB page now!
(Nominee name and why you are nominating)

The winner will be drawn from a hat as we’re guessing there will be a few nominees - every one a champion! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
